When I was watching the film, I somehow got it in my mind that Nica would eventually be revealed to be "Glenda", but I guess I misunderstood something. I don't know why I thought that, but I wish she had been Glenda. I think that would have made things really interesting. After all, he didn't exactly like Glen anyways, so why not go after Glenda?
shareI don't know why you thought that either. We see how Glen and Glenda is born and the events of Seed happens in 2004/2009. This movie is set in the present, 2013, and Nica was obviously born in the 1980s when Chucky was killed as a human and Jennifer Tilly certainly isn't her mother.
shareI realize that, but movies don't always follow the standard timeline--take Child's Play with Andy Barclay's character as a perfect example. He was only about 9 years old when Alex Vincent filmed Child's Play 2 (released in 1990). Child's Play 3 was released in 1991 and Andy Barclay's character (played by Justin Whalin) returned 8 years after the events of CP2. Release dates don't always matter. It's actually not obvious that Nica was born in the 80's considering the Chucky franchise has done this accelerated timeline before. In my opinion I would've preferred Nica to be his daughter, but not everyone would.
shareI hear thats whats to be in the new film. where Nica's mother was apparently having an affair with Charles Lee Ray. giving a new angle to what Sarah went through. meaning that Chucky killed Sarah's husband out of jealousy. it makes more sense as to why Chucky was all attached & speaking of being a family to her when he had her tied up. why he stabbed her in the belly when he felt betrayed. it gives more weight to when he is running away from Mike Norris. he lost the loyalty of his lover, he supposedly stabbed his infant daughter to death,Eddie ditches him, and he gets shot trying to run away. its like he lost it all right there.
not to mention it plays up the fact that Fiona and Brad look very similar in appearance.
That was another possibility I thought of that they could revisit. It would be great if they could make Nica the daughter of Chucky and the woman he was obsessed with. Perhaps it was just a brief fling and she didn't want anything more from him or to ruin her marriage. We also know that he doesn't have an issue with killing his children based on the hate he had for his son in Seed of Chucky. There could be a possibility that Chucky doesn't even know. In fact, if it was an affair there's no way anyone could know for a fact unless she hadn't slept with her husband in awhile. They could do a lot with that story!

shareI'm pretty sure if Nica was his kid, they would have revealed it already like yet another Darth Vader deal. But it was made very clear that Sarah was totally in love with her husband, regarded Chucky in a distant way and was alarmed with his insane devotion. There was a clear distance between Nica and Chucky, even when he mentioned how her family was his favorite, another family he hurt as an outsider.
