A question for men

Who would you have preferred Esther or Barbara? And why?

reply

They are not real. I prefer porn.

reply

This is clearly the best answer here.

And that's all I have to say about that.

reply

Thanks.
It's the best this dumb movie deserves.

Barbara would be great for a few months. She is lovely and I really like her body. However, Ester would be the way to go long term, at least if she were in her early fourties as opposed to fifties.

reply

Ester because she was not judging him or trying to change him. I caught on to Barbara before his sister said anything when they were at the party and she handed Jon the baby....she was trying to tie him down

reply

I could probably make it through a normal greeting sentence with Barbara... Any more than that and I would faint from low blood pressure caused by intense boredom.

Esther isn't my type, she is too fascinated with her own emotions. I have slightly autistic tendencies, I can only handle a very small amount of drama before I completely lose interest.

Needless to say, I don't date much, and it suits me perfectly. Gives me lots time for constructive activities, and contemplation. It is really really hard to find friends who can appreciate some good old fashioned peace of mind.

EDIT: To be fair, Esther is grieving, so my analysis may be wrong. I think my answer was relevant to the topic though... Guys are as different from one another as girls are, and some of them are like me.

reply

Both are totally unattainable, hot, beyond sexy and obviously skilled in bed.

They're aliens.

Oh what a day. What a lovely day!

Barbara was a total cùnt.

The fact that women like Barbara exist in the world enrages me.
Sounds like you may have gender issues. It's not like she was a murderess or terrorist. She was an attractive woman who knew what she wanted and set out to get it her way. Both she and Jon (eventually) realise he and she aren't the best fit.🐭

reply

That's an extreme reaction. Barbara is a very typical woman actually. She wants the fantasy and she doesn't care what she has to do to get it. She's an overgrown teenage girl in the most obvious way. Yes, she's not marriage material but she's good for some fun in the bedroom. She shirks responsibility and lives by the song, "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."

reply

I would bet that Barbara is only fun in bed until married. he just uses sex as a trap anyway and lure.

She is a ten foot pole type of woman ...

reply

"she's good for some fun in the bedroom."

How? She didn't give him head, they only did missionary. I don't know about you but I like passionate explosive sex, otherwise, it's boring and not fun.

reply

Neither. I'm sure I speak for all men when I say we prefer the waitress Eva Mah plays, as she's the only remotely attractive person in this film.

reply

Going to be boring and give the same answer as most of the other commenters: Esther without a doubt. Here are the reasons (and I know she is a character in a movie and not am real person): I would really want a woman that is accepting, sweet and sensitive, but at the same time can be critical of my faults in a kind, non-judgemental, compassionate way. Barbara had really nothing to offer but her looks.

I don't know if it's always been this way, but it seams that a lot of communications between women and men are dysfunctional and that interactions between men and women often turn into power struggles nowadays.
