Please CBS don't cancel this show!

I know there are other posts like this which are asking for Golden Boy not to be cancelled but I thought I would state my case too. I absolutely love GB, it's a whole different take on a cop show, your told that Walter becomes police commissioner but how he gets there we have to wait and see. It doesn't just deal with solving crimes but it tackles the political side of police work too. I hope they renew this because I would love to see what they can do with a second series, the first series has just been introducing key characters and story-lines, a second series would see this show come into full swing and we could see some really good episodes! Also I think Theo James was a great choice for GB, I have seen people on here arguing that he is just there for being a "pretty boy", but for me thats a vital part of the show, the newspapers all want a piece of Walter Clark because he is this handsome young cop who is on the rise, it also helps the female audience and besides all that he is a great actor and I hope good things come his way. Golden Boy is an original take on a cop show which deals with both sides of police work, and it would be a shame to cancel the series because I believe this series has the potential to deliver some great scenes.

PLEASE CBS DON'T CANCEL GOLDEN BOY!

I second that, it's must-see TV for me and I don't get why it hasn't attracted a wider audience, but almost 8 million isn't that bad!

Me too. It's a great show. It's not your typical cop show. It's something special. I hope they renew it.

I agree with you and can't believe they're thinking of canceling this show. I want to know what happens over the next seven years. How will we ever find out?

Based on TVbythenumbers it's almost a certainty to be cancelled. We are probably never going to find out how he became Commissioner based on the coming attractions of next week which will be the final episode. It's not pulling enough in the 18-49 share. CBS has a strong Tuesday line-up and Golden Boy loses significant audience share. I like the show but CBS is always thinking a new show will do better. They might be wrong but when it's cancelled it's cancelled. Unforgettable which did better in the ratings was cancelled and then being brought back this Summer for 13 episodes. CBS did well with Cold Case with Poppy Montgomery so I'm sure that definitely worked in the shows favor. Golden Boy lead doesn't carry the weight Poppy has with CBS.

Absolutely LOVE this show. It reminds me of NYPD Blue. TV NEEDS MORE SHOWS LIKE THIS. I love it (45 M), my mother and father both love it (73, 79) and my daughter loves it (16). That is a great show that can bring three generations together.

Well said! This is the best cop show on TV. It has a great twist on the usual nonsense shows like all the 'letter' shows (CSI,NCSI, etc.)Theo James is a great new talent. There are so many awful shows out there - if 8 million of us are watching there has to be a reason!

I think this show is interesting. The network should give it a secod chance or hopefully snother network will give it another chance or maybe ir could be syndicated. At least I would like to see how Clark Became commissioner.

I love this show. How could CBS cancel a show this good? This show allows us to look into the private lives and struggles of the detectives. I want (need) to know what's happening with all the characters. We get hooked on the characters and then..........How could they do this without giving us some closure.

I think it's a shame to cancel now. Give it another chance?????

I don't like CBS shows but I really did like Golden Boy. I didn't think it was that bad, I found it much better than Hawaii 5-0.
