Wholly Unappealing
In every way... Its pretty rare I sit through an entire movie feeling uncomfortable and stressed and thoroughly unentertained. NONE of the characters were appealing or likable. I didnt care about their well being. I didnt see Browning's character as a terrible slut or empty headed rocker like some people complain about. I saw her as flawed and over her head and quite clearly struggling with depression. But I didnt care about her at all. They tried to make her complex and she just came off seeming confused and out of place as a "rock star" and in life in general. She brought everything on her self. The movie was just tiresome with such little appeal to it that its not even worth analyzing the many plot holes and silly stupid short cuts the filmers/writers took in trying to present some sort of hollywood sleaze/goth/stalker-tragedy to people who apparently exist somewhere between Twilight fans and The Crow fans and dont actually care about being entertained by their art. The music was terrible so it was hard to take the whole thing seriously since the music was meant to be a big emotional part of the story. The main characters were flawed and unlikable down to the husband and the little kids. The wrap up was poorly done, the kill scene was ridiculous (hose him to death?!) the ending scene was eye rollingly pointless (and some kind of rip off of the Elle nurse scene in Kill Bill). So dreadful in so many ways. Id really know what people who found this film appealing actually saw in it.
