I'm a bit confused *spoilers*

So got question about the "time traveling scenes". I am not questioning the ability to go back in time. I understand that The Further is a entirely different dimension and the laws of linear time do not apply. I get that they had to go back to when Josh was a boy cause only he knew how to find Parker/old woman. But I don't get why they went back to the old house from the first film. What was the point of that?

According to the movie (and supposed real life psychics) the afterlife/further/heaven has no need for time. Time is a man made concept in order to catalogue past, present, and future events. Seems kind of hard to wrap your head around, i know. It is for me at least. If i remember correctly, even Einstein called time an "illusion".

I was wondering the same thing. Especially since Josh was possessed at the end of the 1st film. How did he go back in time to the point before he was possessed? Technically his spirit is still in his body at this point. Time travel paradoxes make things complicated.
