LIFETIME-THE LEAST TRUSTOWRTHY NETWORK

First it was TNT and their charge of the light brigade that brought about the annihilation of DALLAS, FRANKLIN & BASH, PERCEPTION, LEVERAGE and most recently RIZZOLI & ISLES. But Lifetime is on equal footing, DROP DEAD DIVA, WITCHES OF EAST END and this show. But at least TNT cancels shows that ended in a way where the storylines were resolved-DALLAS ended with Christopher blown up is his car, LEVERAGE had Nate & Sophie in love and retired with Parker as the new team leader, RIZZOLI & ISLES had the former retiring from the Boston PD and becoming an FBI instructor.

Now I never saw that much of DROP DEAD DIVA, but I am aware of the shytstorm that raged after it was cancelled. I DID however watch WITCHES OF EAST END from Day 1 because what straight male will miss a show starring Madchen Amick, Rachel Boston, Julia 0rmond & Jenna Tatum? I fell in love with Rachel Boston, that girl oozes sex appeal and leaves puddles of it on the floor and after 2 seasons, Lifetime burned it at the stake. Here we have Season 4 ending with Marisol being kidnapped, Spence vindicated and Genevieve & Zoila reconciled. I hated that it went by completely lacking Valentina. Just as WOEE had Rachel Boston casting her spell on me, Edy Ganem swept her way into my heart.

At this point to call themselves Lifetime is a sick, cruel joke. You get what, 2, 3 years and even when they know fans love a certain show, it goes bye-bye. You would think Lifetime would keep WOEE in the hopes that maybe someday Channing Tatum would guest star, that with Madchen Amick on the show we would get episodes directed by David Lynch in a big TWIN PEAKS reunion. 0r here with Susan Lucci recruiting her old ALL MY CHILDREN costars to bring their starpower. Maybe Judy Reyes could get people from SCRUBS or Roselyn Sanchez could call in actors from WITHOUT A TRACE. You cannot trust these people at all. They piss all over their fans and do so without a scintilla of remorse. WITCHES OF EAST END even got James Marsters from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and ANGEL to join the cast. Virginia Madsen was on too. If a show can get big names like these, why can't Lifetime give it real support? It is simply jarring just how much they don't care for their actors, the crew each show employs and us, the fans who get attached to these shows only to see them shot down like enemy aircraft.

When DEVIOUS MAIDS ended Its season, WITCHES OF EAST END would begin theirs, so Lifetime always had me locked into their programming. A nice arrangement I must say. Logical, sensible and user friendly. Since Season 4of this show ended in August, the handoff would lead WOEE to begin ITS season a week later, September the latest. Now they got nothing for me, nothing for anybody. How do we get them to show all parties involved some basic respect?

Awe Witches of East End. I really enjoyed that series. I was bummed that was canceled so soon and without a proper ending. The fanbase wasn't there though to make it a money performing hit. Just like Devious Maids, the fans who quit watching caused these shows to be canceled. If you were in charge of a network, would you keep shows that bring no value to your station? People say Unreal should be canceled for its low ratings, however, Unreal brings recognition to Lifetime because it's the first series (I believe) on the network that was nominated for an Emmy. That's huge for Lifetime. I understand from a money / power position for the reasoning of canceling WOEE and DM. The writing wasn't strong enough to keep fans from ditching the show. Lifetime isn't an untrustworthy network. The fans who watch their shows are untrustworthy because some stop watching when the quality goes south instead of giving it a chance to improve.

Who quit watching? I never missed an ep. I cannot be the only 100 percent never missed an episode viewer. No, it's Lifetime and their sick get their rocks off shytting on their viewers. They would rather LITTLE WOMEN midget franchise and UNREAL which is modest hit at best but it nowhere as engaging as DEVIOUS MAIDS. As for WITCHES OF EAST END, 2 seasons and that's it? Never heard of giving a show a chance? 0nly on for a year, people, let it finds Its voice. Just 2 years between cancelling both shows so I am done with Lifetime, I do not trust them. At least give these shows a final season to tie up their loose ends, I mean how many hours of infomercials does Lifetime run during the overnight & morning hours? The producers of both shows should have tried shipping them to USA, they at least give their shows a chance. The only USA show I liked that they dispatched after a single season was benched, but they have a far better track record than both TNT and Lifetime when you got BURN NOTICE, ROYAL PAINS, MONK, SILK STALKINGS, COVERT AFFAIRS. USA would let these shows live a little. Lifetime has no loyalty to their viewers. If they did, WOEE would still be on and Season 5 of this show would be a done deal. I am so sick of their shyt.

Who quit watching?

According to ratings, over two million people. It dropped 33% in the demo range from season 3 finale to the season 4 premiere and 26% of total viewers from season 3. That's a lot. Season 4 started off with 1 million viewers and by the end only 800,000 people watched the finale. During Devious Maids first season, the show had up to 3 million viewers. Over two million people stopped watching Devious Maids to answer your question.

Lifetime has no loyalty to their viewers.

Giving Devious Maids 4 years to tell a story with ratings dropping significantly each season is pretty damn loyal if you ask me.
