Closure???

Why is there no closure to this story? UGGHHHHH Its so frustrating!! Why were only 4 episodes made?

I hate it when shows do this!! I think they were trying to leave the viewers with a sense of what the parents may feel, never knowing the truth. I get if, but I watch tv to be entertained, not left frustrated. Even if they gave us an idea of who she met up with... Ugh!

This show is similar to The Killing. One case lasted 2 seasons. This might be the same.

I am very frustrated too, so many leads and nothing in the end! I don't know for sure but I think that Amber's fate has something to do with the red haired boy and Jenny, and that it linked to the story of the mermaid. But I don't know anything in fact and I need closure too............. GRRRRRRRRR .........

Just bad writing to be honest.

I haven't seen the series so can't speak to the writing but just because the ending is vague does not mean the writing is bad. I would argue contrived "hollywood endings" are signs of bad writing.

If vague endings means bad writing, then include Space: 2001 and Inception in that category.

No, this isn't anything like those films. This isn't a vague ending, this is no ending. Those films had endings that were open to interpretation. Here, there's nothing to interpret. It's four hours of pointlessness. Bad writing indeed.

If you haven't seen the show, then why offer your input? It's rather annoying. :/

I just watched this and I agree. The writers may put whatever spin they wish to regarding the reasoning behind the ending, but this was lazy writing. If they couldn't decide on an ending they should have given the job to someone else. Shame on them.

Defo bad writing!!

soooo frustrating! I just watched this on Netflix and feel ripped off, no definitive ending. The creepy white van at the end seemed promising lol but grrrrr so annoying

I could live with the vague ending if they had just told me an interesting story. It started off (episode 1 from the mother's point of view) and even ended (episode 4 from the father's point of view) reasonably. But most of the time was spent rehashing the same story, even the same scene, without moving the story forward.

The vague ending just reinforced the idea that I wasted my time.
