*beep* STORY DEVELOPMENT

OK,So here come Lootera, the overrated crap.
well i found many flaws in this story and the film.here are some:-
1.Pakhi character is so lonesome that even the guy who looted her father and killed him,she has sympathy towards him at the end and probably fell in love if he would not die.really?after cheating the daughter father,Varun came back in her life after the intermission and the way Pakhi handled the emotions are almost *beep*
2.The song "zinda' is beautiful song and where the filmmakers put that,at the end where he is putting the painted leaf. When u hear the words of the song, and see the scene, there is no bond whatsoever.its like putting the song because the filmmaker wanted to put it for the sake of it.
3.Her father was completely bankrupt, these people stole everything from them.
And she is living in a hill station with a servant, doing nothing but writing.wow!
4.The stupid inspector when asked about the warrant, went from there, waiting for another day to get warrant and then catch him.Like the thief will be there forever for sure.
5.The friend of Va run,who knows what they are,at the start he actually talking to him like he approved the relationship between them and suddenly in the mid of the film, says that its impossible because of what they are.Like he cares.

Come on Bollywood,i have high regard for this director after watching Udaan and he is worst in this crap. And if we look at the team like Anurag Kasyap being the producer, its utterly atrocious wannabe crap. And lastly why can"t we have original concepts and still keep having motivation from the other western writers or Hollywood movies.

1) Pakhi was distraught, broken, and dying for god's sake! How else should she have handled her emotions?

2) It's a song about being content, just to be alive! Why do you think its not apt for the situation? Would you prefer the 'lungi dance' song instead?

3) Where the hell did the movie say that Pakhi's father was bankrupt? His assets were dwindling, sure, but it was not like they were on the street begging! Her father was a Zamindar. What's so absurd about him having a retreat house in a hill station? It was not like it was a palace! She was dying. What else should she be doing? Doing 'Sheela ki jawani' in a pub?

4) The inspector was keeping guard outside? Dude, did you even see the movie properly, or did it just go over your head?

5) Varun was just teasing him in the beginning, but later when he saw that his friend was getting serious, he became concerned and tried to make his friend aware of the consequences. What's wrong with that?

The movie shows vulnerabilities of real people. People in real life are not perfect. They are not always right. They make mistakes; they are unreasonable; and they are not always able to keep their mind and emotions in check. They are a mix of various qualities, in varying proportions. Not like in the run-of-the-mill masala flicks where the so-called 'Hero' is always good, great, etc and the 'Villain' is ALWAYS bad, cheap, etc. The movie did a great job in showing the suttlities. Now, log off and go watch Chennai Express 24 x 7. You should just stick to such movies.

I enjoyed Lootera for the most part. Yet Lootera could have easily been shorted in its latter half for its prolonged reunion of the protagonists and the predictable ending is a fault.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.
