Listen up, NBC: Todd Palin is not a star

in fact, most Americans could not pick him out of a lineup, a place where one might more reasonably be expected to find him.

Ah, reality TV, America's dignity graveyard.

reply

Only 3 people in the whole lineup I knew, Terry, the guy from Bigest Loser and Nick lachy.

reply

No Todd is not some "big" TV star, but he is well known in his own right as a champion sportsman. This show is not about just TV stars, but athletes and actors willing to put themselves out to entertain us. Whether they are good at it or not. So just sit back, relax and enjoy the show. I know I did. :D

Ah yes, more of that "new civility"...

reply

"champion sportsman" in a sport the majority of the country has never heard of or cares about.

You never watched Superman with Terry Hatcher? That was the best iteration of Superman on tv.

reply

He is a stud. Sarah is a very lucky woman.

reply

Could have fooled me. The guy went out there and dominated.

reply

I recognized Todd Palin because I keep up with politics, Dolvet because I'm a Biggest Loser fan, and Dean Cain because I used to watch Lois and Clark. The rest I couldn't pick out of a lineup.

reply

Todd Palin a sportsman?? Please!! Under his name on the show is "4 time dog sled champion". For Pete's sake he, like Santa, guided the sled he didnt pull the dang thing across the finish line himself. That does not make him a sportsman!!

He is famous because John McCain needed a Hillary Clinton on his ticket and this guys wife from Hee Haw country Alaska was thought to be their ticket to victory. In the meantime he held her purse as his wife quit her elected job to cash in on her 15 minutes of fame as she talks to the nut job Tea Bagger crowd who think she walks on water and poops gold nuggets.

reply

I did think it was funny they made it act like people are suppose to know who the hell he is withOUT mentioning the fact at all he is married to Sarah Palin. If it wasnt for that, no one would have a damn clue, nor would care. Most people dont really care about Sarah Palin, but they know who she is at least. It was funny trying to make him as if he was some famous athlete, even a former one. He's not, he ran his wife VP campaign and would attend some of the events. Thats all ANYONE is going to know him from, period.

reply

Being a 4 time dog sled champion is a great accomplishment. So why not list this great accomplishment under his name instead of, "Sarah Palin's husband?"

Fishinbuddy, did you enjoy your hategasm?

reply

...in a race no one outside Alaska knows or cares about. It's not the Iditarod (and really, how many people care about that?).

"4 time Iron Dog Champion"

At the risk of smashing your short horizon world view that only things important in your sight are important to anyone, I figured you might at least quote the proper reference ... even though the "Iron Dog" competition means nothing to anyone within your line of sight.

reply

In the spirit of fact-checking: "Iron Dog" has nothing to do with actual four-legged dogs. It's a cross country snowmobile race of almost 2000 miles for two man teams - in Alaska -- in February. Current record is just over 37 hours -- so probably not most people's idea of a relaxing vacation.

reply

I don't really know anything about the Iron Dog, but you can't deny he was a one-man mack daddy machine on that op. If a certified BA like Kyle says he wants you on his team during war, the guy is solid.

reply

Maybe the pickings were slim in AK. Getting the governor, he could've probably done worse. Though not by much.

reply

Todd Palin is all that is man.

reply

No, he's not a star but he -- and the entire family -- are personalities.

Event though I'm not a fan of his wife's, I did enjoy him on the show. He presented himself well.

reply

Don't speak for the rest of us idiot. REAL AMERICANS know who he is and he did great. Go Todd!
