Why do so many people care if its fake?

So the show is "fake" or "reenacted" so what? A lot of "reality" shows will do reenactments of things that supposedly happened. They put the disclaimer at the end of the show in the credits or something rather than at the begging like Operation repo(a show i dislike not because its fake but just because i find it uninteresting)

Honestly 99.99% of television "reality" or not is all fake and all scripted. Why does it bother so many people that this show is the same? Ive read on several boards and in several posts that many people loved the show only to then get pissy when they find out its not real, its just scripted.

Pawn stars is all scripted but people love that even knowing it! So why is this any different? Yea its scripted, yea its a "reenactment" buts its still entertaining to watch! Dont approach it as "real life" being recorded and just enjoy it for the mindless entertainment that it is.

Personally i enjoyed the stories being told and loved watching it on when it came on tv.

Well put. We could all stand to not over-think everything and just go with it. Hell yeah it's scripted. Of course it's corny. But if it gets your mind off life for a little while, who cares?

Don't sell me a beat up old Ford and claim it's a Lamborghini.

When these "reality" shows try to pull the wool over everyones eyes and claim it's legit when it's not....people get upset. Viewers may be stupid, but most of us aren't that stupid.

If they are going to do reenactments, at least use quality actors and try and have some kind of script. He looks like a wannabe bouncer and she looks like a has been stripper. I would say these probably are true stories, but 90% has been embellished.

Probably the reason you like this show is that you are involved with it personally or financially.
