Series 2 sneak peak (there will be spoilers)

Well, the episode was great. Brenna Harding and Jeremy Lindsay Taylor were there and did photos.

But lets get right into it...

Lets start with the biggie....
Cheryl is pregnant. She's throwing to get rid of by riding a horse all day and sitting in a hit bath and drinking vodka, but when that doesn't work the girls scare some money together with Gary's help (he gets it from his mum, saying it's for an excursion) and she has the abortion. Debbie has the receipt and keeps it in her jacket pocket. You sort of feel sorry for Cheryl when she comes home, all sore and the girls tell Pam that it's food poisoning, but later on you see her drink and flailing about and it's as if nothing has changed. It's also implied that Cheryl's mums boyfriend is the father.

Gary seems to be off the H, as Debbie was checking his arms for track marks. But we don't know if he's kicked it completely, as he might be injecting between his toes on the sly. His mum has gone hippy and had a new man, the same therapist Judy and Martin saw season. It's very funny when they have to pretend they don't know each other at the pub. And there's a scene when Patrick tries some male bonding which fails as he's standing there without any pants.

Roger isn't enjoying his new job in the city, but when the missus comes back from Japan and running up a huge bank card bill as she fails at conversion, he knows he has to stick with it. Until there's a minor potty emergency at a meeting when he needs to pee and he quits.

Judy and Martin want Debbie to consider trying for a scholarship at a posh boarding school. Debbie isn't interested until her dad urges her to think about it, she says she will if he gets mum to like Sue again. The Knights are invited around for dinner and it's very awkward, Sue and Debbie get high with some beer and some sort of pills and just as Judy is coming around to Sue again she find the beer, and the pills and the receipt. Judy at first thinks its Debbie who has had the abortion, then thinks it's Sue. Debbie sort of admits to having sex but won't say who had the abortion. The episode ends with Debbie sneaking into Sue's bed and telling her that she's going to boarding school.

I didn't include a few things, like this guy who seems to seems to have a crush on Sue, as it looked like something that was going to eventually go somewhere in later episodes. The first thing you see, which is great, is Sue surfing at Green Hills.


Overall I really liked how it started, it's going to set us up for some very interesting plot lines in later episodes.
