I appreciate the second series the second time I watch it

What a shame I didn't exactly appreciate series 2 when it first aired. Perhaps it was because I was just a few weeks into law school and dealing with crazy pressure of life, I couldn't kick back, relax and appreciate Puberty Blues on a Wednesday night.

In fact, I wrote it off as being far too niche and jumped the shark. I actually thought; and so be it. It's because they're creating their own story lines. They're not following the book. They've run out of ideas from that, so they're making their own story up. Fair enough.

Not until 9 months later, it's my summer break from uni and I've started watching it again. I'm starting to appreciate the raw emotion that's portrayed. It's actually an intensely, emotional show. It feels dark and dreary at times, but I love that about it. The truth is, this is what some teenagers put their parents through. And God forbid, those parents actually deserve a medal. It opens my eyes up to show how much time those teens in that generation wasted by throwing opportunities away. All they want to do is take drugs, have sex with each other (and their teachers), party and drink themselves into oblivion.

With the exception of the Vickers', these kids have absolutely no motivation nor are they being pushed to use their potential or encouraged that "the sky's the limit". The parents don't care, except for Marty and Judy.

That's why I felt incredibly disappointed in what path the girls chose at the end of the series. Watch it and find out for yourselves and see if you feel the same way I do.

Otherwise, it was a wonderful series and Muchly appreciated about my second viewing. 🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊

I'm wearing a tuxedo for no apparent reason.

Except that the Knights are the best parents on the show. Judy is a terrible parent- over controlling, fearful and contradictory.
