Where this film could have gone

While I do agree this film wasn't as good as the others and the quality wasn't great, I think the filmmakers had a good idea going. Personally, instead of making Allison Angela (which i think was what they were aiming for), I think they could have made her someone who happened to survive all three experiences or that movie 2 and 3 and Angela was a different person from Peter and that she's the movie 2 and 3 one but had also been there for the first movie and was a copy cat killer.

The hunter looked a little like Lenny (John Baker's boyfriend from the first movie) to me and could have been written as his father, dealing with the loss of his son(who had turned to different people to replace John) to Aids (these movies were filmed during the Aids crisis after all). I also think, since the hunter said their was no ranger, but we saw one, that ranger was really Peter trying to kill Allison for taking his identity. The movie could have ended with the hunter defeating both Allison and Peter, who he would also know was some what of a step-grandson. I also think, in that scene from the first film where Peter and Angela are sitting on a bed after they see John and Lenny together, think Peter did something bad to Angela, so he would have had to deal with the pain of knowing that.

Allison had to be Angela, because there were no random survivors at the end of 2 and 3. Had the original 1992 production not been shut down, there would've been more to work with and their clip film wouldn't have been as poor.

I was always a little sad to see the direction this went. They could have easily made it about Molly or Marcia, instead of it being Angela which was a really dumb twist.

I think an unmade sequel, Sleepaway camp Berserk, was supposed to be about them.

I'm so forgetful with Berserk, and the only thing I know of is the script, but I'm not sure if it's ever going to be a project.

I feel like it won't be.

I keep hearing mixed news about the remake as well, if it's even going to happen or not.

Last bit of news I recall was that Robert Hiltzik was going to make it himself because he had creative differences with studios who were interested. And seeing is we're still waiting for SLEEPAWAY CAMP REUNION, I think it's safe to assume neither will get made.
