What happened to Muse for the closing ceremony?

I was so looking forward to them:-( I mean, The Kaiser Chiefs over Muse?? Fat Boy Slim over Muse?? I enjoy the other musicians (djs). but I mean Muse playing Uprising would have been perfect.
