Is Bill Watterson actually in this?

I'm hoping he's in it, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's not. Bill Watterson really keeps to himself and isn't reputedly social at all.

I seiously doubt he'll be in it, seeing that he's always been a very private and reclusive person, at least when it comes to matter of Calvin & Hobbes.

IF he suddenly pops up towards the end or something I'll probably wet myself out of sheer joy :P

He isn't in it, not because he said no but the creator did not want to ask.

Waterson has been notoriously private all his life, but even more so once c&h left the papers in 1995.

In many ways it makes sense, it's a love letter to him from those around him.

But trust me, a part of me is very sad he isn't there. I loved the strip as a child, and am sharing it with my daughters now, too. C&h is timeless, unlike so many other things that aren't even timely when they first ran (Family circus, I'm looking at you!)

The team did get permission from Bill Watterson to make this documentary, but he told them that he didn't want to be in it. So no, he won't be in this.

I find it interesting that I just saw a documentary called "Dear Mr. Watterson" and I still don't know what the hell he looks like.

Nope, he's not in this. And I can't even find any information online to see what he thought about the documentary, whether he was "touched" by the homage or whether he regards it as just another way of making money off the comic through commercialism (hopefully, the former).
