Disney channel has gone downhill

Remember when Disney channel had shows like recess and emperors new school

reply

And those were quality shows?

reply

Better then this

LIAR DOG WITH A BLOG IS WAY BETTER

reply

Why is it better? It's not funny, there's terrible writing/acting, and it is incredibly annoying.

reply

And yet, here you are.

reply

I'm here to help people realize what a terrible show this is. I'll take my leave now.

How thoughtful of you. Do you also do this for all other bad shows? Are you on all the Real Housewives boards to enlighten those people too?

reply

Nah, I'm too busy working on my YouTube channel.

reply

That's not fair to all the other people watching terrible shows who don't realize it.

People can come to boards of shows they don't like, thats why Im here. I want to know what people see in this awful show, and its on right now.

That's cool if you're honestly asking and trying to determine what others find interesting and/or entertaining about this show. I've done that on certain boards because I felt like I must've been missing something.

It's the trolls who go on the boards of a show they dislike that try to make everyone who watches it feel like idiots that are the problem. There are shows that I think are completely stupid and feel that people that are entertained by it must be idiotic. But I don't go on those message boards and flame those people.

For me, I like the absurdest humor. To me, it's the Disney Channel version of Seinfeld. Then there are episodes like "The Mutt and the Mogul" that are farce. That episode actually reminds me of some similar Frasier episodes.

Avery is the weakest character on there. I'll admit that. She's annoying. But the absurdity of Chloe, Tyler, Bennett and Ellen is great. And there are times their characters realize the absurdity and make self referential jokes that point it out.

On the surface, it seems like a childish, silly show, like Jessie. But if you dig deeper, you'll see the brilliance and humor of it. And of course, there's always the possibility that a show like this just isn't your cup of tea. And that's okay. It doesn't mean you're deficient; it doesn't mean we're deficient. Different people have different taste. How boring would the world be if we all had the same taste?

Yeah, you have some good points there. I still don't like it, its just not a show Im into. I actually am obsessed with ALL disney classic and modern movies, Pixar, etc. Me and my fiance actually only go to the theater when an animated movie comes out, and in fact, I am studying to become a disney animator!

Im a big kid at heart, but I just cannot get into these types of shows. But no, you did have a very intelligent response. I do go on boards of shows I don't like just to see why people like them, I try not to put people down but sometimes I can say something like " Oh, who will like this show!!" haha and that may be rude. But anyway, thanks for enlightening me :0) Enjoy your shows!

I did that with Frozen. I didn't think Frozen was a bad movie, I just couldn't understand why it'd become such a cultural phenomenon. I thought other recent Disney flicks such as Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph were much better films with more layers, deeper story lines and more nuance.

No one on that board could explain it to me. Some thought I was hater just trying to flame. I tried to explain to them that I didn't hate the movie, I just wanted to understand what I was missing and what made it such a huge phenomenon. Some people think if you don't love a movie/show as much as them, then you're a hater.

I love the show. Stan has always been the worst character IMO. He's always angsty about being treated like a dog. Wtf Stan. I think Avery is funny but not the funniest. I think G will do better away from Disney in more serious roles.

That's not true in recent episodes. I think Stan Gets Schooled was the last time he was angst about being a dog. There are many episodes where it isn't just about him being a dog.

Examples:
How I Met Your Brother and Sister
Avery B. Jealous
Good Girl Gone Bad
Guess Who's A Cheater
Stan Steals Christmas
Avery Schools Tyler
Howl O Ween
The Bone Identity
Stuck In The Mini With You
Green Eyed Monster
Avery's First Breakup
