Looking forward to this.

I'd never heard of Joyce Hatto, but am now eagerly anticipating finding out more about this pianist fraudster and her husband.

Original and intriguing conception.

It seems that this is Victoria's own take on the story, as Barrington-Coupe has always maintained that his wife was unaware of his fraudulent activities. As such, I found it absolutely delightful with some lovely performances from everyone.

I was bit concerned that the older Joyce had undergone too great a personality change but, thinking about it, disappointed hopes, childlessness, illness and possible dementia could all account for it.

Hi magpie. 

I'd almost forgotten this! But, yes, I remember it was enjoyable. I'm a fan of Victoria Wood's whimsical writings. Glad you enjoyed it!
