'Closed Circuit' is an intelligent and gripping thriller

"Closed Circuit" is an intelligent and gripping thriller that explores interesting aspects of the British judicial system and surveillance state in the context of the war on terrorism. There are fine performances by Eric Bana, Jim Broadbent, and, especially, the luminous Rebecca Hall.

I do agree - right up until the last couple of minutes, I was enjoying the whole corruption/covering-up theme, but it did just seem to peter out.

I wasn't after a happy ending or anything - I'd have been satisfied if Bana & the girl had been assassinated, or charged with something, or the courtroom exploded, or something hahahahaha

Yes, I like the movie, too.

The one moment where my eyebrows sort of popped up was when the judge in the closed door session said, "Wigs off!"

Another thing I like about the movie is how they portrayed British lawyers.

It often seems that American lawyers are portrayed as forever writing things on legal pads.

Haha I liked it too. But like another poster said, it did sort of peter out at the end. I was surprised to see Anne Marie Duff. She was fantastic.

"What happens to a dream deferred?"
