Was sad to see this show go

I really enjoyed Monday Mornings and tuned in every chance I got to watch it. Man, was I shocked to see it cancelled. It's unfortunate that all the shows with real potential to be a success are not given a chance to develop it's audience. In my opinion ratings shouldn't determine the quality of a show. Sometimes it takes longer for some shows to build a fan base. Since House was the most recent medical drama to go off air, it would've been nice to see a new medical drama take charge.

I could see if Monday Mornings was another Grey's Anatomy or ER. I liked the first couple of seasons of ER, but Grey's Anatomy turned me off from the beginning because it was more about how hot McDreamy was and which doctor would hook up with who. I personally like learning more about what happens in the medical field while these doctors are actually performing task to save lives. It was interesting that Monday Mornings was actually based off a book by a real doctor and it added layers of authenticity in depicting real life scenarios. The fact that it was centered around a team of surgeons was really different. The infamous lectures of shame made some of the best compelling moments in the show.

The cast was excellent and the story lines kept me wanting more. My favorites were Alfred Molina, Ving Rhames (gotta love his sense of humor) and the actor that played Park because he was so hilarious in his responses. I looked forward to his scenes.

It's really sad this show was cancelled. I wish another network can pick it up ;(

I agree. I thought the first episode was overwrought and threw too much at us at once, but I wanted to give it a chance. I did, and was rewarded; the show got better each week. I'm sorry that TNT did not do the same.

TNT is usually good about letting shows find their footing, so this was really too bad.

That Molina was aggravating as hell and most everyone disliked him. He wasn't very credible as a doctor and neither was Ving Rhames!

Someone else started a thread saying the casting was horrible and I agree!

I didn't expect everybody to like the show, but I do believe the actors and actresses were credible in portraying their characters. I'm not in the medical profession, but their medical jargon seemed on point and I liked seeing all the characters suppress their feelings in different ways just to do their job. I was skeptical of Ving Rhames at first because he doesn't look like the typical doctor, but he became one of my favorites.

Alfred Molina was brilliant. He's a veteran actor that's been in numerous films. I doubt his character was supposed to be very likeable from the beginning, but the idea of him being this humiliating bully all the time was misconceived. I think there was definitely more to him, but unfortunately we didn't get to see it.

So I'm not sure what aggravated some people about the casting, but compared to Falling Skies on TNT which has been renewed season after season although the writing and acting is horrible, Mondays Mornings deserved a chance to stay and build a stronger audience.

Look at the critical reviews of this show. They are mostly bad and I posted one that mentions how Rhames isn't credible as a doctor.
