why is the rating that low?

Very good story, for me an eight!

I can't explain it. I really enjoyed that movie and I hadn't read the book. I suppose some people were expecting something different based on the book.

After reading the book this movie is a huge let down. I think it deserves an even lower rating than the 5.9 it got. I would give it a 4.

I wish people would stop comparing books with films they will never be directly comparable as literature allows the reader to furnish and idealise an individual image in their minds and so comparison is not only impossible but also irrelevant.

The twist was great, the historic scenes were great... Overall I thought Claudia Galli was decent in the lead but I thought that that whole ordeal with her getting 'kidnapped' and her reaction to it and while kidnapped was a little bizarre though, she didn't really seem to mind.

Jan Malmsjo and the senior actors were ace though.

I think it could make for a stellar American remake.

Somedays you just can't dispose of a bomb.
