How do you think this relationship will pan out?

I really hoped Gillian would get together with Robbie since episode 2 (Dean Andrews is a hottie! ). But I was a bit disappointed watching the last episode in series 3  (trying to keep my post as spoiler free as possible).

Gillian just can't keep it together, can she? How will this bode for her in her relationship with Robbie then?

And Robbie...sigh...sick as a sailor, pale as a ghost in that last episode.... I'd be so pissed if I were Gillian. But G probably thinks she deserves it, doesn't she? Sigh.

I wish it goes down well for these two with Gillian's demons and all; but I don't have a lot of hope sadly. 

Sally Wainwright is nothing if not unpredictable. I think Gillian’s past will come back to haunt her and hit Robbie hard. HOW it will pan out? goodness only knows! At this point I think I’m more looking forward to seeing HOW it DOES play out, than speculating (not overly conducive to discussion I know ;)). But that is just me.

Last ep/wedding. It seemed a bit ominous really, didn’t it? :-| And when the consoling advice which encouraged Gillian to go through with it was “you can always get a divorce AFTERWARD” ….it doesn’t seeeeeem to be a match made in heaven….I, I dunno :-|.
(p.s. re other thread’s convo—would you BELIEVE I think I might have said stuff about this in one of those vanished threads? Ha. No loss I’m sure :p, but sorry for the lack of much in the way of ‘discussion’ :(.)

Very thoughtful, but I wouldn’t worry about being spoiler free about eps that originally aired nearly two years ago and around the world since. I don’t know? Maybe (if you wish to elaborate) to be safe mention in the thread heading ‘spoilers for S3’?

It really is quiet in here, isn't it. Not a problem.

I'm not one for speculating either. Seldom does it quite work out in a way one hopes and all that thought and discussion is usually for nought . But the way S3E3 went, gosh...my "excitement" waned quickly.

Not that it is a match made in heaven but ...yes, exactly. I hated that line and how Gillian's story arc had her acting out throughout that episode.  But that's Gillian for ya.  Sigh.

Oh, I know; but I didn't want a specific response just based on that last episode, you see. Just general thoughts on these two characters throughout the entire series. I understand your position, so no worries there.

Wondered if anyone else thought or expected that these two would get together and if they did, will they then manage to somehow stay together. Thought I'd throw it out there about these two characters who I love and really hoped would get together properly (ended up a bit disappointed to say the least). I don't mind that I get very little or no responses to my thread either; all good. 
