The actor looked nothing like George Anthony...

I think the actresses portraying Casey and Cindy were almost spot-on. It was Rob Lowe and the actor portraying George Anthony that looked nothing like the real people. I understand that Rob was the star so that didn't matter as much, but why was George portrayed as a fat, round, blubbery, lovable guy. He was more defined/slimmer with prominent dark eyebrows.

Yeah, he didn't sound or look anything like him.

What's the point in making the actress playing Cindy look the same and George different? They didn't even try. Strange.

Yeah, the way the actor's voice, cadence sounded nothing like the real George, no offense to Kevin Dunn.

I noticed that, too. He was portrayed as a pathetic little man. George in real life was anything but - he was a tall, fit, intelligent ex-cop who was forceful on the stand. He cried, but he did not come off nearly as pitiful as the actor did.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. : )

I don't think they were going for identical twins here. A likeness was about all you were going to get to give you a feel for the situations.

reply

Right C3194, and they went for a likeness with Cindy & Casey, but not George or Jeff Ashton, etc.

I thought the dude who played George was a likeness, but I couldn't get past seeing him on Roseanne as Burt back in the 90's!! LOL!

reply

Really?? Are you sure you remember what he looks like? George was portrayed as a fat, round, blubbery, lovable guy. He is actually far more defined/slimmer with prominent dark eyebrows. I think their hair color might've been the same but that's it.

I agree it wasn't a good likeness, but I guess it was the hair and eyebrows. It has been a long time since I paid these people any mind. I feel for them, but I think they need to be left alone. Casey, however, deserves to be badgered, harrassed, needled, beat up, spit on, etc. for the rest of her miserable life.

He was okay, they seemed to portray George Anthony nicer than he was, at least from what we saw on television.. The actor that portrayed Mr. Peterman on Seinfeld would have been good ( sorry forget his name.)

Ah yes, John O'Hurley; he would have been perfect! Someone suggested James Brolin as well. Both have a similar look.

That's it, John O'Hurley, I think he would have been a good George Anthony. James Brolin is good too, maybe a bit too old though?
But JB is still so good looking...

They lost casting credibility when they had Rob Lowe looking like Rob Lowe.

If you can't walk and talk/text at the same time, do the rest of us a favor and get out of the way.

John O'Hurley should have played George Anthony in this!
Dee Wallace = Cindy
Anthony LaPaglia = Jose Baez
