If Casey suddenly admitted to the crime...

... Nowadays.. They can't even arrest her for it. Double jeopardy right?

Correct. Casey could give every detail that proves murder in the first degree, and she could not be tried on any charges again.

I agree, she is absolutely never going to give true details anyway.

Well yeah... double jeopardy can be overruled... but it's very difficult and very rare... I'm not an expert, and I know it varies around the world, but I believe it revolves around having to present NEW evidence or being able to prove that some part of the original trial was inept

There was actually a dude in England who bragged about murdering someone after he was acquitted... and he was retried and convicted 17yrs later

I doubt it would be as easy in the US though.... and I doubt Casey would ever slip up... she's a soulless liar

Thank God we have Double Jeopardy laws. Look at the mess with Amanda Knox case being tried again and again and again in Italy. Do you really want that in the U.S.? If she were to be tried again think of how much it would cost. Someone has to pay that and it would be us the tax payers. It won't be Casey because she filed for Bankruptcy and got it.
