The red car

Has anybody got any idea of the make of the red convertible, or has it been made up or modified?

reply

Austin healed. I think an early 3000 or a 100-6

reply

Healed? What was ailing the poor car?

Wrong, definitely Jag XK circa 1950. Took 1-2-3 at the Tourist Trophy race.

Which episode? Internet Movie Car Data Base ( http://www.imcdb.org/movie_2215842-Father-Brown.html ) shows six red convertibles used in different episodes. Seven if we count the red and white 1955 Austin-Healey 100/4. The Jag is a'51 XK 120, the Triumph is probably a '49 2000 rather than 1800, cosmetically the two are identicall. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_877330-Triumph-2000-Roadster-TRA-1949.html
