Perry is very much a Christian right... yet 90% of her fans are gay...

I find that sad seeing as they are promoting and supporting something so much that does not support them back.

Perry comes from and is a strong Christian...

Awkward.

A strong Christian - who sings about easy sex and dresses like a prostitute...

she can love God and love gay people simultaneously... being a christian isn't necessarily about following the Bible like a drone... i don't even like Katy Perry and i can say I highly doubt she is homophobic. Obvi she's a hypocrite for being nearly-nude constantly and then preaching about other star's videos for their religious or sexual imagery... but religion and God are tricky things, and it's her own business, separate from her career.

Actually, that's exactly what being a Christian is about.

No, it's not. Just like being American is not necessarily being fat and waving flag. It might be rule, but not so common.

When her song "I kissed a girl" came out I thought she was a lesbian, then I found out she's straight. I know someone almost exactly in her situation, and after years of strict religion they cracked and did all sorts of crazy stuff to get all the years of being sheltered out of there system, I think she may have started out like that mabye but now she has a head on her shoulders and matured.

She's a hypocrite, that's pretty much the foundation of being a christian.

Oh my god Karen, you can't just ask people why they're white.

Her parents are Christian. She says specifically she believes in God but does not believe exactly what her parents believe, and that her relationship with God is constantly evolving. She never mentions Jesus. No doubt she had her eyes opened about the concept that not ONE single religion is the right one. Good for her.

You don't what religion, if any, she practices. All she said in the film is that she believes in God and that her relationship with God is constantly evolving. People can believe in God without having to stick a label on it. And how do you know she doesn't support her gay fans? You don't know everything. Try getting your head out of your butt.

Given how her dad was dressed in it, I don't think she's the only one who has taken a few healthy steps away from their strict views on reality. Alice in wonderland is not a devils book, nor are lucky charms.

But I think she's gone too far. She supports Hillary and gay marriage. That's incompatible with true Christians.

She is more spiritual than Christian. She believes in knowing.
