I really wanted to like this....

It was very blah..I'll probably keep watching it though, since there's nothing else on during the timeslot. I feel like, as cliche as this sounds, there needs to be a season long mystery or interesting story. Her staying in town forced to help the mob? yea that's never been done before. This could have potential, but its Fox

I was coming here to post this exact same thing! lol

I really wanted to like this, especially since I was so excited to see both Jordana Spiro and Zach Gilford on new shows, but I just didn't care for it. There wasn't really anything that hooked me. I don't know what it was, but the show just couldn't keep my interest. I think I'm going to keep watching for a few more episodes hoping the show will pick up and hoping I start to like it better, but I don't know. Like you said, it was very blah.

I could not disagree more, I loved it I have never seen anything like it. One has to suspend belief in this show to like it, otherwise why bother, it's entertainment. Not a documentary.

Well, Jordana is super cute...I mean look at that promo photo to your left...so I'll give it a few. The mob angle's pretty interesting. I don't really care about the ER stuff... the ending (spoilers) where she slams Moretti's car and then is chased by him is pretty interesting. I'm kind of glad her character is like that....she's not just some flower. Normally, the character would just go in there and cave in or try to talk Moretti out of it, but she smashes his car. :) To keep it believable, they can weave in more mob ties in so she's not just in debt every week.

I thought it was ok. It felt kind of manic. Too many characters introduced at once. Too many plot points. Felt like they left a lot on the cutting room floor. Left me not caring about anyone or anything.

I'll give it another shot or two for the sake of William Forsythe but it will need to improve a lot.

If you can't walk and talk/text at the same time, do the rest of us a favor and get out of the way.
