Tale of a major con by the mob against the Attorney General Family?

If we let go of the assumptions that Grace can be trusted because she is a doctor ,and she supposedly cares , and that the mob doesn't know Dr Robinson is the son of the Attorney General...the point of view of the whole series changes..here is how i read the story

-Attorney General (AG) is the arch enemy of the mob

-Grace (for all i know she could be a pathologically mean mob girl?) gets into the AG's son ("the duck")good graces.

-Once she gets his trust, she finds out a dirty secret of his and she cons him into doing something illegal: abortion without parental consent -p.s . let's leave aside that the girl's surname is De Marco like the girl in the Devil's child

- the pandora's box is open. At that point the guy is an ideal target for blackmail and extorsion. Does she , and those involved, protect him or exploit the situation? Everybody assumes that she protected him, but i don't. And i can see a downward spiral for the guy, probably victim of both emotional and actual blackmail

-the more effective the AG was at his job, the bigger the bragging rights and other rewards associated with bringing his family and him down (and we are told AG was effective). I think this is the tale of how they bring him down through his son, and then some

-in some episodes DR.R seems to be sabotaging his own career , probably in an attempt to keep a low profile and be seen as a smaller fish (fruitless attempts because the mob knows who he is)

-I see his various efforts to break up with Grace in good terms (he took for example an early opportunity offered to him by Nate and always encouraged her to see Franco)...but she reins him in every time (because he tries to be a gentleman, because dr white wants him to be a gentleman, because attempts to counter the blackmail fail and because he makes mistakes)

-towards the end of the series Robinson makes a huge, non-liquid payment. When the life of his brother is in danger, coincidentally?, he finally gives the mob dirt on his father and family. This could be check mate

-does Doctor kill Grace's mother at the end? that's one way of seeing it and if yes, he must have had major negative feelings towards her

-for sure Devlin only cared about escaping to mexico (with all the gold made from the con).

lol what have you been smoking? The teenage looking doctor was just supposed to be the boring "eye candy" for women who like had Barbie and Ken fantasies as children.
