AMAZING SKILL ON DISPLAY!!!! - GYMKATA? ANYONE????

I never seen Gymkata, but I heard it's a contrived movie that happens to have pole vaults and other olympic gymnastic events strategically placed in sets where real athletes can battle the baddies. - This film was made in the glorious 80's!!!

Now fast forward to a new generation of jumping, twisting and spinning foolish youth. The skills on display are breathtaking and incredible. Who knew humans can move so gracefully and beautifully!!!!

The script and story is terrible though.

This amounts to little more than parkour (is that even spelled right) porn.

You are basically right. But that doesn't mean that this movie, or Gymkata doesn't have entertainment value.

I've seen far stupider movies, and would watch this again over trash like Thor 2.

Funny coincidence. I bought both this and Thor 2 on the same trip to Giant Tiger... lol.
