Does anyone like this show?

Just wondering?

I like it,but I see it getting bashed pretty badly.

reply

I think it's ok. It reminds me of Weeds without the humor. Schiller is a lot like Esteban.

I wonder if Schiller will have any redeeming
qualities,or is he just bad to the bone?

I thought it was pretty cold the way Bob
got killed.

I do love Goran Visnjic though and
I hope the show sticks around for
awhile.

There's clearly something going on between him and his father. I'm not sure if that's going to turn out to redeem him, but it might explain him.

That said, I'm waiting to see if there's more to his having Bob killed. Plus, I don't think he killed Evan. I think he's taking advantage of the fact that people think he did, but I don't think he did it. There has been something about his exchanges with Marta when she mentioned that he killed Evan. Plus, why would his customer need another "example" if he had already killed the guy who supposedly took his drugs?

If you can't walk and talk/text at the same time, do the rest of us a favor and get out of the way.

reply

You know - when he killed Bob I didn't see any blood and thought he might have just tranquilizered him. That would be a nice twist, I think.

I like this show alot. I think it is very well-written-- and nice to see show about adults. I am the biggest geek around...but sick of vampires and teenage angst...too much of that crap in movies, TV and books now.

I like Marta-- she's got the Mom side of her...and the bad*ss mobster's daughter side. She's interesting-- and the men in this show are muy easy on the eyes. I hope it is successful!

I like it

Other than pretty scenery it doesn't have much going for it. Unlikely concept. Average acting. Slow moving after the initial intro.

I've watched the first three hours but probably won't be back. Just isn't captivating.

I do

About this show RED WIDOW---just discovers it while flipping through the channels last week. I only watched it because Radha Mitchell (a talented, interesting actress I like who always seems to do good, interesting films) was starring in it. Plus another fave of mine, Clifton Collins (who is a very good actor and hot in a refreshingly non-Hollywood way) and the hot dude from ER are also in it. I'm thinking part of the reason this show may not be succeeding is that it's been barely promoted in the first place---I stumbled across it, and I have yet to see any commercials for it. It's as if the show is just being used as a time-filler unto they find another new show for that Sunday night slot, because I get the impression that they haven't really been getting behind it to begin with. It seems to be good, but, yeah, it could be a little grittier and hardcore---however, it's on mainstream TV, so it is what it is.

Someone said this series is actually a U.S. remake of a Dutch series-----that was interesting to find out. Makes me want to check out the original, should it ever become available.

reply

activista, are you sure you aren't thinking of THE KILLING? that was a remake of the Dutch show.

reply

It's growing on me. I'm still watching.

i like this show, and I hope it gets a fighting chance. I don't get the hate ... but then I'd been intrigued by the advance promos all along.

For a modern-day ABC drama, it's both refreshing and a bit of a throw-back. It gets better by the week. ABC ... keep it on the air, and properly promote it by driving people to watch past episodes online.

I think it's an awesome show! I just hope that this season ends well and without any cliffhangers, cause sadly I know it will be canceled :(
