Is this going to be a flat-out comedy?

Or is is going to be a drama with comedic elements, like most of Tyler Perry movies? Just curious.

It's Tyler Perry, he's unoriginal, he has a formula, he promotes his films as flat out comedies (Madea goes to Jail), you go into the theatre and he slaps you with the melo-dramatic sh*t. This certainly isn't going to be a flat out comedy.

reply

Well most of Madea's big happy family was comedy.
It wasn't as intense as some of the others.
it was mostly funny the whole time.

reply

yes it's gonna be funny

I came here to ask the same thing. I won't be fooled by one of his commercials again.

I think this is his first movie that's going to be ALL COMEDY. He even said it himself in one interview.

And here's the dead-giveaway if his movies are gonna be melodramas:

1. The teaser trailer is a goofy promo and is usually something made from scratch, nothing from the actual movi

2. The OFFICIAL trailer shows the melodrama stuff with a few funny clips and there's a romantic R&B ballad playing over the trailer
