Sure tyler perry has had some hit and miss but I thought Witness Protection was funny. It had more Madea instead of using her as bait in a few scenes. This and Madeas Happy Family are my favorite. One movie I was hugely disappointed in was meet the browns. I think one mistake with Witness protection is it showed too many of the funny parts in the trailer.

Me and my mother went to see the new Madea movie a few days ago and we both couldn't stop laughing, and neither could the very diverse audience! There were both Black and White people who were laughing it up and really enjoying the flick. It was nice to see!
He's a funny guy and Madea is a funny character that people from a variety of backgrounds can relate to. I hope he continues his success for years to come.

I love the Madea character since she represents that the escape that people feel and how they want to react.
shareMadea is an interesting character no doubt, but the problem for most people is the lack of creative storytelling, and that's where all the hate comes from. And witness protection was no different, it didn't even care to hide where it stole it's ending from (Ghost), a little lame I must say. But none of that matters because people only go to see Madea who always delivers. Tyler releases a new Madea film every year, and that's not a good thing, someday people will become bored with the character, if he's a smart man he'll give at least a 3 year gap between each one.
