Dr Thorne's obsession (spoilers)

I watched the film and I liked it, but I found that it was quite unrealistic. How for example does Dr Thorne get to enter Emily's workplace and do what she does, the inscriptions and put the gun (that killed the other psychiatrist) in Emily's drawer, without anybody noticing? And, at the end how comes she doesn't know that Emily will finally get to be able to move and try to free herself by attacking her? And the cop who drinks Dr Thorne's coffee, how comes, if he suspects her, he accepts to drink while she's not doing the same thing? He's a little naive no?
Sorry for my English, it's my second language.

I think your English is far superior to that of many "native" speakers I know. (I assume you are French from your handle. Not Kaybekwah French but REAL French.) You have NOTHING to apologize for. Well done. Brava.

I think too many cops are clueless in movies and never seem to believe the right or innocent people. Sadly, that is not unrealistic, considering how cops abuse their authority and wrong people get convicted as well as guilty people going free.

The cop should NEVER have gone to Thorne's place alone without backup if he has any suspicions. That is incredibly foolish.

And Thorne should NEVER have left Emily alone, never mind in a position where she could fight back.

I was surprised that the cop was actually killed instead of just poisoned though.

His partner may grow up to be a good smart cop and actually listen to the right people. Maybe. We'll see.

Thank you for your comment, it's very nice of you. Yes I'm French 100% :)
I think I should have written "how come" instead of "how comes" though.

I'm serious, serious like a heart attack...

The cop was indeed too dumb to live.
