Lost me in the first two minutes...

1. If you have a limp, and walk with a cane - you do not wear high heels; especially alone in your home.

2. The caller ID says, "Parents"? Who programs their caller ID this way?

3. Fully dressed, hair, makeup - but, she never leaves the apartment?

Just gets worse from there...

Yeah, it was weak for me. I mean, first time she gets the gun... okay, maybe she's afraid to shoot, yadda yadda, bad person gets the gun back.

But the second time she had the gun and *still* didn't do anything with it? Is she slightly mentally challenged or something? And then she had a knife, and the bad lady was constantly letting her guard down, putting down the gun, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

Point being, just about anyone else would have killed the intruder 5 times over or at least knocked her unconscious with the cane she had throughout most of the ordeal.

To me the movie represented all that's wrong with society, with her first thought being "the authorities will help me out" rather than "I need to take care of myself". I mean, for goodness sake, she calls emergency services and what...they don't do anything if you don't say what kind of emergency service you need? Maybe it doesn't work that way and they'll send police anyway just like 911 in the US. To me it just sends the total wrong signal that we're born helpless creatures and only the government can save us.
