What happens to Ann now?
The sentence that Ann received was such a slap-on-the-wrist. Does anyone think that a man that kidnaps a child would get 12 years? That guy Phil Garrido & his wife Nancy that kidnapped the Duggard girl and kept her for almost 2 decades have received tougher sentences. Talk about gender bias--women can do anything, even murder, and just get a slap-on-the-wrist. And that ending (showing Carlina bringing her daughter to see Ann in prison & seeing Ann smiling & playing)--how unfair was that to Carlina's real parents? So, what will happen to Ann now in prison? Will the female inmates take physical action against her? That's what happens to men in prison that commit crimes against kids. Will she have to be put in protective custody? Or, don't women do that in prison--they all just get along?
