animal misinformation - post your peeve!

i was agape when UT said he would try to grab the cobra by the neck real fast ... i thought part of a cobra's street cred is striking faster than i can even see? points for him not wanting to "hurt" the snake, but they ended up using the equipment method anyway after he got "bitten". Proper precautions are needed. Snakes r dangerous, mm'kay?

There is another thread discussing/arguing UT's qualifications, so let's not get into that here. I hope people will post what other items of misinformation they have noticed.
