Both Alcon & Summit ( Liongate ) deemed this film a huge success. Mr. Pfister was given free rein during production. Writer Jack Paglen was urged to write a sequel as well. During a test screening in post production Kate Cohen & Aaron Ryder when of the rail calling it a "piece-of-shit" demanding a meeting with Nolan who was shooting in Canada in order to have him come in and save the picture.
