So long story short: the bad guys win at the end and humanity pays price

I mean that's obvious, right?

1- They get to murder and destroy most AI scientists and research, and turn to their side the survivors (Max and Joseph).
2.- The AI in the movie never killed anyone (all the people it "fixed"/"possessed" were shown returning to their normal condition when the AI was infected), yet is deemed by the FBI more unreliable and non negotiable (as if it was Skynet from Terminator) than this PETA type of fanatic TERRORISTS whom have already killed scores of people, so obviously they side with them to the point of providing military grade weaponry!
3.- To take out this AI, they don't mind killing Evelyn ("if she's hurt badly enough, he'll upload her"), destroying an entire town, and throw the whole PLANET back to the dark ages (a la Escape from LA).

Tell me I'm wrong...
