White House visit.

Why was half the cast sitting in the Oval Office with Obama and Michelle when Charles Dutton walked in? And was he really invited to the White House?
That scene takes place after he imagines shaking hands with Obama so it would make little sense in this movie to have 2 day dream like sequences in a row. On the other hand was his campaigning effort big enough to get him, his wife and his friends a meeting with the President and his wife in the Oval Office? Most probably not. Not to mention it seemed that he lived in a Democrat town or city so his efforts would not have been as critical to the election results.
I assume it was most likely a bit of bad writing.
