Relatively good marriage - spouse cheats for whatever reason...
...and craziness/tragedy ensues. Hardly a new literary or cinematic device. I understand some of the comparisons to more recent movies, but from Fatal Attraction, to Unfaithful, to Temptation, to Addicted - how many of them are truly original throughout??? Honestly the first story I read about adultery with dire consequences was in 2 Samuel. King David and Bathsheba were off the chain.
I noticed some of the comments on here and youtube that bash the film for its plot and actors. It always amazes me how such detailed opinions can be made about a 1-1/2 to 2-hour movie based on a 3-minute trailer, but hey, maybe those guys know something the rest of us don't. I have some speculations, but I'll share my review of the movie until AFTER I've actually seen the movie.
I'm excited for this movie, because I like some some of the main actors. The trailer, though leaving quite a bit to be desired, still has me intrigued. I'm not a huge fan of Zane, but I am familiar with the type of writing she does, so I'm anxious to see how this will play out on screen. I'd rather see this than 50 Shades of Gray, and I actually read that book (barely and with disappointment)!
