The only thing I didnt get...

I didnt understand why James didnt punch Felix on that little field, after seeing him kiss Caroline hours after the wedding. He had the perfect opportunity. No one would witness it, and he had every right to. So why didnt he? This was the only thing I didnt understand about the story. If I were him, there would've been no questions asked, straight to the violence.

I think it's implied that James was thinking about punching him, but he didn't want to do that because he wanted to show Felix that he's a better person than him. Hitting him would just make him half the man, as much as Felix. Plus it's his wedding day so I wouldnt think that violence would be the smartest thing to do especially if the groom was involved in it. His evil stare to Felix was a clear enough warning.
