Sort of, kind of spoiler.
When Rene walks up the stairs to Mackenzie's Uncle's place at the end, he clicks something under his shirt in his pantsline. You don't see it, it's just out of the shot. But I'm thinking he had something nefarious or nasty waiting in his beltline for the Uncle.
That, or keys. LOL

It was the car keys. In the previous shot, you see the keys in the same hand as he exits the car.

shareWe live in a world of wussies. Bartlett probably just said if he tried contacting Mackenzie ever again he'd go to the police. Plus the uncle filed the missing persons report, which would make Mackenzie a prime lead for questioning if anything happened to the Uncle.

It was his rental car keys. If you look at the keys as he takes them out of the ignition in front of Uncle's house, you'll notice the little plastic rental car ID thingy. He was putting them in his back pocket as he walked up the steps.
