Regarding Rich....

I don't get why he's on this show. He acts like he's so important to the neighbors, so he loads his dogs in this old truck, drives a few hundred feet, then pretends to scare a mountain lion away. They squirt ketchup on some rocks to make it looks like blood, then he shoots his gun in the air and yells, "Go on, git!" But you never see any lions. Stupid.

reply

They have shown mountain lions plenty of times.

It's the same stuff again: he shows up to a guy's house. The guy tells him the cat has killed his pets/livestock and is worried it could kill the people that live there. What does Rich do? Chase it/drive it......so it can show up a couple weeks later.

Again: I don't get it. There must be some DNR reg they aren't telling us about here.

I just began watching this show at the beginning of last season and it was interesting seeing Marty build a cabin single handedly as well as What's his name walking through Alaska to get to the land he purchased. Since then, it's the same thing constantly: Marty's POS snow machine breaks down, Tom's trapping (or trying to trap) beaver, Eustice cuts lumber, and on and on and on. So, as much as I enjoyed the last season, I'm just done.

reply

Ha... Right. You have to wonder if the land owner asks him "So, what exactly am I getting for my money?"

"Well, I'm going to drive around and yell at them 'Get outta here!' That should do it."

reply

Is he still chasing three toes? Lol
