Good doc, more intergroup relationships next time please! ^^

I'm surprised how there aren't any topics for this movie message board given how popular SM acts are around the world. I just watched this with a bunch of friends tonight and I quite enjoyed it.

I'm relatively new to K-pop, only 2 months old, I got introduced to it via League of Legends and the Gangnam Style craze. SNSD is the only K-pop band that I'm seriously into so far, and I've been watching loads of their subbed videos on Youtube and Soshified. When a friend told me that he actually imported a copy of this documentary, I was excited since I've been wanting to be introduced to the other SM acts anyway. Earlier I had only listened to a few of the flagship singles like Sorry Sorry but nothing much deeper into the albums.

I did quite enjoy the documentary despite not recognising many of the faces. It shows how much of a challenge it is to break out and how much arduous training they've had to go through to get to where they are today. It was inspiring to see the idols go through the same crippling self-doubt that we, the fans, suffer from occasionally too.

My friends complained about the seemingly-random cutting moving from one group to another but I didn't mind it so much. I really enjoyed the bits at the beginning where the current Eunhyk danced alongside the pre-debut Eunhyk, I wish they do that for some of the other idols. The shots of the fan reactions were awesome, the tall black guy saying "kamsahamnida" was surreal and had us all laughing in admiration and disbelief.

One thing I'd love to see more of is the relationships between groups. One of the most heart-warming moments in the documentary for me was when SHINee members were thanking Kangta profusely for paving the the groundwork for them, that they would be nothing without him. How warmly the members greet and hug Lee Sooman was also great to see. I see fantastic intergroup relationships (Super Junior and SNSD, SNSD with f(x)...) on TV variety shows so it would be good if we could see more of that in the future.

All in all, I felt like it was a well-spent 2 hours and I hope that SME plans to do another similar documentary in the near future. Thank you and SM Entertainment hwaiting! :D
