Why such a low score?

5,4? I really want to see this, the trailer looks great. I'm just wondering what people think who've given it low scores.

Perhaps the low score is because the movie is completely one sides. None of the women Adam Brody "wronged" in the movie had done anything wrong themselfs. It quickly becomes a long boring monologue about an evil "manwhore" who always leaves when the going gets tough.

Nobody living in the real world believes any relationships are this one sided.

If the roles had been reversed and the lead was female it would have gotten higher ratings but when a guy goes through women like he did it does not fly with female audiences. Especially when he does not want the gal he was to marry in the beginning. There is a double standard with this genre, the actions are accepted when woman are finding love but not when a guy is doing the same thing.

I haven't seen the movie so I'll reserve judgment but it's just so interesting looking at the user breakdown.

The highest scores belong to MALES UNDER 18 who rate it 9.7 (way way above the average btw) and FEMALES AGED 45+ who rate it 6.8. And those AGED UNDER 18 rate it 6.5. It seems that teenagers with little to no relationship experience love it and (maybe based on the two reviews above) that women who are older with more experience might sympathize. Most, however, think it's really below average.

I'd like to see the movie and analyze a bit why these different groups rate the film so differently but other than the cast, the trailer didn't seem that appealing to me. In fact, the movie looks really predictable and the characters seem immature/irritating....

I should be doing something else besides posting here. You too... Just a reminder.

I doubt teens under 18 rated it that high.

Its been months later and quite literally its only 3 votes out of 809, and its possible they are fake votes by people involved in the production or friends/family with fake accounts.
Being that the number of votes in the age group doesn't really change, I'd just discount those votes all together.

This just isn't a man that impresses men of any age, and that's fundamentally the problem.

maybe because people don't like the good dialog? after all it's adapted from a play. I liked it moderately and gave it a 7

I liked it. I'm 47 and single yet beautiful, kind and successful so have met MANY a man like this. So I liked seeing other women's reactions to this guy. Not sure why so many hate it. Odd.
