Do not watch this.

This movie was a real pain to watch. It has some good actors from both Norway and Sweden, but that doesnt help much when the director cant direct... The actors were terrible, the storyline was terrible..

reply

Well you sure are giving off some mixed signals.

reply

Well, the actors are regularly good. But in this movie they act so terrible and the reason for that is a terrible director.. atleast i guess so.

reply

Why don't you add "in my opinion" before running your mouth about something you clearly know nothing about. It was what it was. If you didn't like it just say so instead of blaming a director who did quite a reasonable job.

reply

Do I have to write in my opinion before I state something that is clearly my opinion?? What are you? The internet police?

reply

I don't have to be "the internet police" to pull you up on your rudeness. When you tell people Do not watch this you are the one acting in a high-handed manner, not me.

When it comes to any form of art criticism you do not make a good impression by issuing instructions rather than stating your opinion.

WORD "bogwart-1" !!!

Some just give an opinion based on what a blockbuster carries with its production and directing... (so it seems)

Scandinavian countries are known to direct and produce at another level... Not all movies run a budget of XXX million $ and 90% product placement !!!

So if you can't tell or understand the difference "tonny_nesse" - keep watching Blockbusters !!!

Thanks for stating the obvious "bogwart-1" - Take care (:

reply

Thank you, and that's always true. This film was made for a relatively tiny sum - less than the catering budget for a Hollywood blockbuster - and for what it was I thought it was very entertaining.

In any case he's talking total BS. If you look at the number of European films remade by Hollywood the extra money spent has been utterly wasted. Recent examples were [REC] from Spain and the Stieg Larsson films. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo cost $13 million when it was made, when it was remade - as a much poorer film - it cost $90 million, and lost money.

Troll Hunter as an excellent film, very different from the Hollywood indie crap we see. It cost around $3.4 million and is supposedly being remade by Hollywood. I can smell it from here....
