I have not seen "the outsider" but when i read the synopsis "the Limey" is the movie that i thought of.

By the sounds of it, i would skip outsider and see "the limey"

Terence stamp is a great actor.

There is even a dialog line quoting the limey movie. When the two detectives are interrogating Lex, one of them comes out to talk to the other detective and says "what about the limey" or something like that referring to Lex.

not a remake, but it is a low-bud version of it, with elements of "taken".

thhe script and direction isnt that great but the undeniable charisma of the male cast and beauty of the female cast together with the good fighting scenes makes it a pleasant surprise.

It certainly sounded similar from the plot synopsis, but British lead character and dead daughter in the USA was where the similarity ended.
The plot itself wasn't too bad, but the film was let down by its poor cinemaphotography - if they were going for cine realiste, it didn't work for me.
