Hey, Brian got off unscathed!

At least until the finale. Yes, I know he got killed at the end, but I'm talking about before that----in every episode before the finale leading to his death, he seemed to go unpunished. For what reasons?

All he got was one death. Everyone else seemed to get all the pain.
Louise got crushed by the elevator, Alexis got run over by Louise and lost the use of her legs, Alexis spiked Louise's drink that temporarily paralyzed her and Jane goes missing through time, through the spiral staircase and gets impregnated by the devil of a baby, Annie gets tortured--literally tortured and killed in the two episodes she appears in, Henry almost gets killed at the end;

Brian? One death, that's all. I guess it wouldn't be right or good ratings if he got off unpunished---but he should have suffered a little more for his sins like the rest of them.

There are reasons to dislike him:

1. He's an alcoholic

2. Admitted he sold his soul to the devil to be able to write again, that's why his pay up date was addressed, tried to move and sell his house without talking to Louise first/he did claim it was for Louise's safety

3. He beat up/punched the doctor in the face while drunk at a Halloween party, thinking he was having an affair with his wife, when all he really had to do was just not get drunk and ask questions.

4. Cheated on his own wife with Alexis. He thought Louise was cheating on him, same old story---but he found out Alexis tricked him into sleeping with her, he still went back after her, just to start writing again.
Then he kissed her [Alexis] one more time on the dance floor?

5. Stepped out for days, moved in with a friend of his, then had sex with Alexis, when Louise came back in from Rehab, she said she came home and he was gone for days. Louise lied to him as well, saying she was on a business trip, but instead she went to rehab.

6. Killed Alexis

7. Never showed any sympathy or concern for anyone.

Even Jane and Henry faced more punishment than he did, luckily, Henry's too dumb to even realize he's getting punished.
With all that he's done, all he got was a quick, practically painless death.
