The best Korean thriller/horror film in 2012.

Kang Pool is a famous webtoon (online cartoon) artist in Korea and this is one of his works adapted into films.
And by far the best among the handful film adaptations of his original serialisations.

The actors are all composed of supporting character actors and they do an excellent job at creating the authentic sense of ordinary people encountering extraordinary situation through their own suspicions.

It is expertly crafted and plays the story straightforward and doesn't add unnecessary violence or action scenes to draw audiences.

One missed opportunity is to include a certain character from Kang Pool's other comics which may have indicated a bigger universe.
That certain character is recurring in multiple Kang Pool thriller/action comics and would surely have been an excellent tease.
Hopefully next adaptations of his work does some more world building.
