Why on earth is this rated a 7.8 ????!

I just watched this movie on FX OnDemand and it was ok. How on earth did this film obtain a rating that is far less than a full point rating away from being a top 250 film ???
There was nothing about it that made it so original or ground breaking. It wasn't in fact even that particularly clever in any way as a Rom/Com.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't better than a movie like Along Came Polly or The Breakup. Just 2 off the top of my head.
I guess I'm really missing something here, but I don't think I am. It's pretty mindless, and it's so basic as it is a little bit above average romantic comedy.
Can someone tell me why this film is as good as to warrant almost an 8 rating ???!

SPOILERS!!!!!!!

I liked the way it changed from a some what predictable bouncy romcom to a more thoughtful movie exploring the relationship between Tim and his dad.
Easily worth a 7.5

People like it. Just because you don't doesn't mean it should have a lower rating. Cinema doesn't revolve around your opinion.

Totally agree - I could see the being close to 9!!

My rating is 9 but I'm wavering on 10 based on the music.

I wish there was a 9.5 option!!
