There's a lot more out there, but here's a selection of interviews that cover the breakup and the reunion.

Here's one with Glenn Frey from 1992 when he talks about the break-up and why they were not getting back together:

This one is from the start of the Hell Freezes Over tour in 1994, when everyone is sounding so hopeful:

This is from 1998 when the band hadn't done anything together in two years:

HENLEY: That's why I say people confuse production values with ability somehow.

And with that Don Henely defines Kayne West and Lady GaGa and most current music, It was true back in 1982 and it's a reality today.

"Make it so."

I know you did this last fall when the special came out, but wanted to say thanks for all of the links to these great articles about the Eagles. I loved the documentary and often watch all 3 hours over and over each time it's replayed on one of the Showtime networks (practically every week! hehe).

reply

I'm glad you enjoyed the links. I find myself rewatching the documentary far too often.

Here's another story where Joe Walsh's former manager explains how Joe and Glenn Frey were reconcilled in 1993 and the part that played in the band reunion:

LOL I know what you mean! Pretty soon I am going to be able to quote the entire documentary while I am watching it like I do some movies! But it is so cool; can't help it.

Thx for the new link...Love Joe Walsh. Recently saw his Guitar Sessions set on one of my Directv channels (ASX maybe?) and it was great to hear him do Analog Man, Rocky Mountain Way, etc. and talk about the days...

This is a good one. It's about the recording of Desperado but covers early band dynamics with comments from Bernie Leadon, Glyn Johns, Ron Stone(who was one of the managers), Jackson Browne and JD Souther - people who were there.`

Thanks so much again. Just got a chance to read. I feel pretty bad for Glynis Johns. The guy was really a standup guy. I think they may have taken that outlaw thing too much to heart at times! hehe

There's another interview I should have included.
